A Gift of Hope: PT INACON Luhur Pertiwi's Anniversary Celebration

Every year, PT INACON Luhur Pertiwi, a well-established leader in the Indonesian engineering and management consulting industry, celebrates its anniversary by focusing on something more meaningful—giving back to the community that had supported it through the years.

The idea was simple, yet impactful: provide gifts in the form of cash and food to families in need, as part of the company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. It was a gesture that would not only commemorate their anniversary but also make a tangible difference in the lives of many.

This year around 36 orphanage children who live in the neighborhood joined the celebration of the company’s anniversary. The gift was provided by a representative of INACON, Pak Haji Jaya, witnessed by INACON’s employees.

Beyond the Anniversary

The anniversary celebration marked the beginning of a new chapter for PT INACON Luhur Pertiwi. While the company continued to grow and succeed in its core business, the values of community engagement and social responsibility became deeply ingrained in its corporate culture. In its ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility, PT INACON Luhur Pertiwi has extended its support beyond Indonesia, making a significant donation to the Aloha Learning Center in Cambodia. This center, which provides educational opportunities to underserved children in rural areas, has been a beacon of hope for many young learners who lack access to quality schooling. Recognizing the transformative power of education, INACON’s donation will help improve the center’s facilities, expand its educational programs, and provide necessary resources for students, including school supplies and learning materials.

The partnership between PT INACON Luhur Pertiwi and Aloha Learning Center is a reflection of the company's commitment to empowering communities through education, one of the key pillars of its corporate social responsibility initiatives. By supporting the center, INACON aims to contribute to the growth and development of future generations in Cambodia, helping children gain the skills and knowledge they need to improve their lives and create brighter futures. Sharing Experience Through an Internship Program

During her 3-month (May-July 2024) internship at PT INACON Luhur Pertiwi’s office in Phnom Penh, a student from Thailand, Ms. Htoi Ra, had the invaluable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of international development. With proudness, INACON provided her with a round-trip ticket from Thailand, lodging, pocket money, and opportunities to explore one of the project’s operation and management.

As part of her internship, she was immersed in the company’s diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects across Cambodia, allowing her to witness firsthand the challenges and complexities of large-scale development initiatives. Working closely with project manager and engineers, she observed how international teams collaborate, adapt, and implement sustainable solutions tailored to the local context.

Throughout her time at INACON, the intern had the chance to participate in the day-to-day operations of ongoing projects, including site visits, progress evaluations, and planning meetings. She gained insights into the multifaceted nature of development work, from logistical coordination to stakeholder management and environmental considerations. Additionally, she was exposed to various types of project activities, including urban planning, road construction, and community outreach efforts. This experience not only deepened her understanding of the international development sector but also equipped her with practical skills that will serve her in her future career, offering a unique perspective on the intersection of engineering, community development, and cross-cultural collaboration.

A Heartfelt Initiative

And so, PT INACON Luhur Pertiwi’s anniversary was not just a celebration of another year of business success. It was a reminder that true prosperity comes not from profits alone, but from the well-being and prosperity of the communities they serve. The gifts of cash and food were just the beginning of a long-term commitment to creating a more equitable, compassionate world—one that would continue to thrive for generations to come.
