INACON has contributed to national health and nutrition programs,
particularly those focused on early childhood development and stunting
reduction, with support from the World Bank, GFF, and MCA-Indonesia.
Services have included administrative and program management support,
coordination among stakeholders, and capacity building at national and
subnational levels.
Key activities across the projects included the provision of
Administrative Services Firm (ASF) support to national secretariats and
project management units under the Investing in Nutrition and Early Years
(INEY) program. Under the MCA-Indonesia Community-Based Health and
Nutrition Project, support focused on human resource management and
administrative frameworks for deploying and managing provincial and district
health and nutrition consultants. This enabled effective delivery of
community-based interventions to improve maternal and child nutrition, increase
awareness, reduce malnutrition and low birth weight, and strengthen service
delivery at health facilities and community levels.
The impacts of these projects include strengthened institutional and
fiduciary capacity, improved coordination across sectors and levels of
government, enhanced effectiveness and coverage of nutrition and health
interventions, and more reliable monitoring of stunting reduction outcomes.
